Danke shoen.....

....darlin' danke shoen, thank you for, all the joy and pain....(Danke shoen Wayne Newton!)

Well, after was has proven to be one of the most stressful nights of my life, I am still in Germany. Germany is cool and all, I had just planned on leaving earlier than this. Briefly, to explain what happened you should know that Meg and Molly actually ended up coming the day after me which was really cool. I had two great girls to kick it with during the day while the boys (Our other friend Jake is over here also and happens to be one of Meg's best friends) were at school. ANOTHER visitor, Isaac, a very good friend from U of O, was on vacation in Europe and decided to come to Tuebingen as well. So it was Me, Meg, Molly, Braden, Jake, Isaac, Isaac's little brother, and Braden's future roommate, Leighton. All 8 of us. Hanging out Germanically.

Anywho, Meg, Molly and I were going to go home early early early on Thursday morning BUT we got invited to go on a wine tasting trip in Freiburg with Braden's school group. It turns out Braden and Jake pulled a few strings and WE ALL got to go. So we moved our tickets back to Friday early morning.

Well, Thursday night rolls around, everyone is cranky and tired and now we need to figure out how to get from Braden's place to Stuttgart station at 6:55am for our train to Lyon. Everyone else wants to go out, stay up all night then go to the train station. I want to stay with Braden because after all, that IS the reason I came to Germany in the first place, right?? The things is, the buses don't run that early, and none of our phones work to call a taxi, we cant figure out the pay phones and the bartender at the dorm restaurant (yes they have a bar in their dorms....Germans....) wont let me use the phone. SOOO....

We devised this plan that would have worked but LOONNNG story short, I am still here, Meg and Molly are gone, and I don't want to talk about it any more than that.

On the bright side, Braden's friend David just invited the two of us to go to Munich with him and stay in his hotel this weekend. For those of you unaware.....Oktoberfest. begins. this. very. weekend. in. Munich.

Needless to say, I just got done researching what it would take/cost to get there. It's free to get my ticket changed and only 10 Euros more expensive (and thats the return trip). To GET to Munich its only going to be 33.00 Euros. Hhhmmmm...Right now it's looking like I may be going to Oktoberfest, my friends.

I promised myself this year would be an adventure and well, here I am, exactly 1 Month to the day of being in Europe, and I'd say I'm doing a pretty good job of keeping my promise.

To two of the most adventurous people I know, Dad and Erin Grady, I hope you're proud.
