I mean LOOK at me.
I AM FINALLY COOL.

This one is of me, Meg (my best friend and one of the girls with whom I will be living with in 2 months) and Molly at the Irish pub we went to to watch Rugby.
I would put up more but it really involves lots of plugging and unplugging of electronics from the one outlet that I can use in the room and I don't want to do it. I put up a few more in a new album on the webshots photo hosting site I have (the link I posted) so you can see them there. Other than that, things are going okay. School is boring right now. We have a placement test on Thursday and I am going to study. I really want to get put into the highest level so that I have a challenge. I WANT to work hard. Tomorrow I have no class at all though so Molly and I are going to find some secondhand stores to go shopping at. We know they are here and not many french people actually hit them up so I'm looking forward to it. Its going to be cold here and I need to be prepared...I don't do well with freezing temperatures.
In other news, I have just been informed that I can't go to London for Christmas with Meg as planned. Its not her decision and she's pissed about it but oh well. Nothing can be done. So my next mission is to find all of the students who are going to be here for christmas and plan a big christmas-time "lets all spend time with each other because we have nowhere else to go" week/celebration/feast/reading of the Grinch/practicing family traditions so that we don't feel TOO nostalgic, although that will be totally inevitable.
I also got to tour the part of town that I will be living in soon. It is BY FAR the best part of town in Lyon. It has a huge open-air market everyday, excellent cafes and cheap restaurants, really cool street art that I cannot stop taking pictures of, and the COOLEST history out of all of the quarters of the whole town. I AM SO LUCKY. I really don't know how this happened. Me, my best friend, her french sister, one apartment, that we didn't have to find, in the best part of town, totally furnished, and we can still go back to Meg's family for dinners and stuff every once in a while. After all, we ARE living with their daughter. I think we'll be invited back for meals.
Okay. Time for bed! I miss you all. I really do. There are some things about home that you will always miss.
